FPG-USA was established in 2008 to provide specialized financial, accounting, forensic, and advisory services to businesses and professionals nationwide.

 

The firm is founded and led by Richard Kahn, whose career began in financial markets, including serving as a National Product Manager with Merrill Lynch, and later expanded into building, operating, financing, and advising businesses.

 

After leaving Wall Street, Richard operated a real estate development and brokerage business and a mortgage lending business with more than 50 loan officers, developed eCommerce support services used by hundreds of businesses, and spent nearly 20 years as Tax Matters Partner for approximately 60 entities.

 

His private practice later expanded into financial investigations, forensic accounting, complex financial problem-solving, litigation support, and testimony as a financial expert in more than 1,000 matters nationwide.

Today, FPG-USA provides project-based services ranging from QuickBooks assessment, cleanup and catch-up work through accounting and financial reporting, CFO advisory, forensic accounting, and complex financial problem-solving.

 

Richard also maintains current professional credentials in QuickBooks/Intuit platforms and IRS tax practice, including Intuit Gold ProAdvisor • Enterprise Suite Certified • QBO Level 2 Certified • Client Advisory Services Foundation Certified • IRS Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA) • Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP).

 

A Deliberately Different Practice

 

FPG-USA is not designed to be a high-volume accounting or bookkeeping operation.

 

Richard maintains a deliberately small practice and remains personally involved in client engagements. Clients can engage FPG-USA for a single problem, project, objective, or series of related matters, with the scope and fees agreed in advance.

 

The practice has operated remotely for many years, serving clients across the United States and internationally. Richard began working with clients remotely in 1995 and today continues working while traveling from a fully equipped, Starlink-powered mobile workstation.

 

The objective is straightforward: solve the problem, improve the financial information and systems where necessary, provide experienced guidance, and leave management better equipped to steer the business.

FPG-USA is also an information and knowledge resource.

 

Richard regularly publishes articles based on his experience, sharing practical perspectives on bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, CFO advisory, business growth, forensic matters, and complex financial problems. Many are published through FPG-USA and shared with the professional community on LinkedIn.
